Trust Your Feelings: Practicing Tai Chi for Emotional Resilience

Watching your mind means being open to emotions. The Tai Chi practice called standing like a post (also known as Zhan Zhuang) is a great tool for watching your mind. Basically, this is standing meditation, which is a great way to include your body while you watch your mind. You can do it for shorter periods compared to sitting meditation and still get benefits. I wrote an article about this practice and how it is good for watching and managing emotions because the practice is especially good for developing interoception skills, which are skills of awareness about body and mind together. The article got published in the Qi Journal magazine Summer 2023 issue. I am sharing it here with special permission from Qi Journal who kindly asked me not to distribute it and to encourage you to visit the Qi Journal website, where you can learn more about this great magazine and resource.
